Process: A Future's Past Reflection

The initial idea started years before I created the final piece. A scene came to me of a woman and a child sitting across from each other in a waiting room type of setting. They do not know each other, and I wondered what they might be thinking of the other. Do they look at their respective past and future, or see something else entirely. Children can be astonishingly accepting or brutally judgemental. All adults were once children, but do not all feel comfortable around them.
